McCorkell – Balam Balam Place
We’re proud to have captured the full two-year transformation of Balam Balam Place – in collaboration with our friends at McCorkell Constructions. This new creative community hub at 15 Phoenix Street, Brunswick, features flexible open-plan rooms, a shared kitchen, gardens, outdoor gathering spaces and a coffee shop. The name ‘Balam Balam’, meaning Butterfly in Woi-Wurrung language, was suggested by a community member and approved by the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation – symbolising growth, renewal and transformation. Our timelapse captures the evolution of this culturally significant and community-focused project from the ground up.
