Advanced Engineering – Flume Tank
We were proud to partner with New Zealand’s Advanced Engineering to document the complex transport and installation of a $1.9 million flume tank, from Christchurch to Plant & Food Research’s Nelson Research Centre. Our visual coverage captured the precision and coordination behind this milestone project, which marks a major leap forward for the Crown Research Institute’s seafood innovation capabilities. Now housed at the Nelson facility overlooking Tasman Bay, the flume tank offers scientists and engineers a world-class platform to test marine technologies—from aquaculture systems and sustainable fishing gear to marine energy and robotics—within a controlled, high-speed simulated ocean environment.
